When did you first join dA?

I first joined dA on November 27th, 2009. That's when my friend made me a deviantART. I didn't use it until several months later (June 19, 2010) when I started posting posting pictures of RP characters so friends from other sites could see them and know what they looked like. Eventually I made buddies on here and this came to be the main site I hang out on.

Do you do Requests/Art Trades/Commissions/Collabs?

Collabs? Only with friends. For anything else, just look in my journal header. That will always have the current status on those types of things.

If requests are closed, close friends can still get them. Same goes for art trades. Of course I still might say no, but the point is that it's okay to ask as long as it's in moderation.

Will you teach me how to draw? How did you learn to draw? Do you have any advice on drawing?

I can critique and try to help you with anatomy, but I can't teach you how to draw. No one can teach you how to draw, they can only aid you in getting better. I didn't "learn" how to draw. I just drew, and drew, and drew, got better and better, and eventually got where I am today.

You just have to keep trying. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, not everything has to be a masterpiece. Try to fix stuff up as much as you can, but if it's not perfect, DON'T WORRY! Don't cut corners, don't hide hands behind backs, don't draw "nub" or "mitten" hands, DRAW SOME CRAPPY FINGERS. DRAW THE OTHER EYE EVEN IF IT SUCKS.

Observe others and most of all OBSERVE REAL LIFE. Look at the folds on people's clothes, look at how long their arms are, look at their faces, look at their hair. Look at chairs, trees, rocks and cars. LISTEN to others when they offer help. Accept changes in the way you draw things, do not refuse advice or be rude to those who try to help you, especially if they're a better artist in your eyes. I'm not saying to accept abuse if they are being rude, but accept it with grace and don't try to fight with them. Just keep going. I know it sounds corny, but it works. Just keep drawing and drawing and drawing and one day you'll look down and be amazed at how far you've come.

Do you RP? Can I RP with you?

Why yes, I do. Go ahead and ask, I may or may not say yes, but don't hesitate to ask, guys. Though if I haven't seen you before...I probably won't. That's obviously different if we're in a roleplay group together or something. I'm pretty picky about RPing nowadays, so don't feel bad if you get a no.

Can we be friends?

You can't really ask for friendship. Just come say hi once in a while, show up to livestreams, comment, just talk to me and we'll at least become acquaintances if we get along~

Do you have facebook/instagram/anything else?

No, unless I specify otherwise! All my social media will always be listed. I have discord, but it's very unlikely I'll give it out to you if you ask. I'm pretty strict on only adding people I'm VERY comfortable with on there.

What's a "GrappleMace" and why is that your username?

A grapplemace is pretty much a ball and chain, if anything. (Like a mace + a grappling hook, I guess) It's really just two words together. And now for the story behind it:

I was replaying Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and had just gotten a grappling hook, which I was pretty excited about for some unknown reason. At this point I was thinking about leaving my past account, and was trying to think of usernames. Later, I was browsing around deviantART, and see someone with "mace" (or something that rhymes with mace, I think it might have been ace/lace,) in their username, and I thought it looked nice/ sounded catchy so I put the two together to make "GrappleMace". My friend later checked to see if the username was available, and it was, so a week later I made this account.
